Traditional Inuk staple of Florida oranges becomes prohibitively expensive

Not sure what to make of this CBC story.

Apparently Florida oranges are really expensive north of the Arctic Circle.

No shit!

It's a long way from Florida to the Arctic Circle!

I love the breathless urgency with which they report these CBC scoops. I mean, till the CBC investigative unit got on the story, who even suspected Inuvik might be farther from Florida than Toronto?

That's the calibre of journalism we're getting from the CBC, in return for all that taxpayer money we fork over.

Canadians need to ask themselves; are the billions we pour into CBC worth the contempt they routinely display for the intelligence of ordinary Canadians?
