France in flames as Micron determined to go out in blaze o' glory

Spent some time watching live video feeds from various French cities this afternoon. The headlines proclaiming the unrest is just "student riots" are highly misleading. Sure, there were scenes of riot police clubbing kids who looked barely in their teens, but big picture, you had a wide swathe of unions and civil society orgs and fringe political outfits and just about every other constituency in France not part of Little Napoleon's 14% approval rating. The reporting at CBC avoided any mention of the real reasons for the unrest; severe cutbacks to social spending in favour of a vastly increased military budget and the promise of perpetual financial propping-up of rump Ukraine. There's a reason for that. The top nabobs at our official propaganda network are all too well aware that's exactly the course we're on; France, Germany, and numerous other NATO-EU states will no doubt see street riots before we do. There is no question we're looking at the same fate. The Carney regime has embarked on a clear program of crippling social spending by committing at least a trillion dollars to military spending over the next fifty years. PM Carney's got polling approval numbers never before seen in Canada. African dictators are in awe! He has a solid plan. We'll pay down our debt by selling our critical infrastructure to US hedge funds! Most of those African dudes did that long ago, but no worries... elbows up! But back to France. I can't see how Li'l Napoleon is gonna get the toothpaste back in the tube at this point. How long are the cops gonna attack retired firefighters protesting their shrinking pensions before they realize they should be pounding out the politicians instead!
