Finally acknowledging that the French are beyond redemption, Jupiter has thrown in the towel. He will henceforth focus His attention on countries where His efforts are more likely to be appreciated, like Lebanon, and perhaps Mali as well.
Who can blame Him? The Yellow Vesters have been poking sticks in the spokes for what, three years now? The ingrates have no clue how good they have it. Maybe they should move to Lebanon if they hate their country so much.
The Algerian hordes in the banlieues are even worse. You'd think the brown bastards would be grateful to live among the civilized, but noooo... Perhaps they can be given tickets to Mali if they miss Africa so much.
And if that's not enough, the irascible racists at Charlie Hebdo just announced an anniversary reprint of their famed "Blasphemous Cartoons of The Prophet" edition, which could set off a bigger explosion than what thirty tons of ammonia nitrate just did in Beirut.
So goodbye and godspeed, Macron... just make sure you take the unctuous imbecile BHL with you. There can be no redemption for France so long as that charlatan haunts the corridors of power.

White France gives its Muslim minority the finger
Michel Houellebecq was awarded France's top literary prize today, the Prix Goncourt. That's no doubt intended as a great big F-U to France's Muslim minority.
His Divine Majesty Macron has his hands full these days with various revelations concerning military meddling in Libya, Yemen, and various African (former?) colonies, the ongoing working class revolt that won't go away, and of course, the convenient catastrophe of the Notre-Dame fire, the fire that promises to unite all French, or at least those from the respectable classes, around the cross of Jesus.
Whatever Houellebecq's charms as an artiste, he is best known for his anti-Muslim fear-mongering. That France's cultural elite would choose this moment in time to elevate such a hate-monger into the literary pantheon speaks volumes.
Nothing good can come of this.

Sauveur Macron revealed as man of substance
France is f@cked.
You'll notice that the Macron-friendly Toronto Star is quick to point out that this is more or less in line with the amount that his two immediate predecessors spent on personal grooming. That's the point though, isn't it?
Wasn't Macron supposed to be a breath of fresh air?
Whether it's Sarko or Hollande the Conqueror or this icon of a supposedly new neither left nor right politics, Macron demonstrates his contempt for the average citizen by spending more on makeup in three months than the average citizen takes home in a year.
That's politics, and Macron is just another politician.

Sarkozy smells coffee, threatens to wake up
In a notable departure from prevailing practices, French President Nicolas Sarkozy called an immediate halt to French participation in training the Afghan Army after one of the trainees killed four French troops and wounded a further fifteen.
Normally these attacks, which are alarmingly frequent, are dismissed as the work of Taliban infiltrators and cited as evidence of desperation on the part of the enemy.
Since his ascent to the Presidency Sarkozy has tried to compensate for his diminutive stature by taking a Napoleonic strut across the world stage. He claims success for his interventions in Ivory Coast and Libya, although it will take many years for the nature of that "success" to be determined.
So why does this incident in Afghanistan have him threatening to pull out of the country altogether?
Because it's election time in France, that special time that comes around every few years in the western democracies when the leaders have to pretend that they bend to the will of the people!
And suddenly Sarkozy is a man of peace.
