Listening to Mark Carney you'd almost think LNG Canada is a Canadian company

Which it is not, but this foreign entity gets many hundreds of millions in taxpayer money sent its way. And Mark sounded right next to euphoric when he was enthusing about what a great day this is for Canada, that this foreign company is doubling its capacity to ship Canadian resources out of the country. Frankly, this strikes me as the complete opposite of the "firming up our sovereignty" claptrap the national propaganda network has been pushing. Don't they have journalists anymore? I mean old-school sorts who used to ask questions, unlike the current generation of journos, with post-grad degrees from Carleton or the rebranded Ryerson, whose career prospects are limited to passing along press releases from all the companies and government agencies and NGOs they should be asking hard questions of. Anyway, Carney's polling numbers are the highest in Canadian polling history, so I guess the general public is all aboard for selling off our infrastructure and our resources to foreign investors. What I can't figure out is how anybody with an IQ of any kind would see that as strengthening our sovereignty? At the end of the day, the complete lack of critical thinking skills so obvious in the content of today's media platforms has to be laid at the feet of the journalism schools.
