Think all religions are quackery? Try Quakery!

We had some Friends over, friends of ours, the other evening. A lot of stuff you hear about those folks simply ain't true.

For example, I'd been under the impression that all those folks are teetotalers. Not on your life!

And I had thought it was a forgone conclusion that they each and every one had accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal savior, as befits all of the Christian cults that flowed out of Judaism. I mean that's what makes Christians "Christian", is it not?

After all, without that Jesus chap they'd all be Jews, would they not?

But, hold on to your hat/kippa/turban (I'm trying to be inclusive here; bear with me), apparently in the modern era they have Buddhist Quakers, Jewish Quakers, and even atheist Quakers!

I know!

I guess what's left is the anti-consumerism, the simple life-style, and the pacifism.

Hell, that's good enough for me!
