Carney spills the beans; "Rules-based International Order" has been bullshit all along
Mark Carney made quite an impression with his turn at the pulpit in Davos yesterday. He let the cat out of the bag; the much ballyhooed rules-based order has always been what Russian disinfo claimed, ie Uncle Sam made the rules and the rest followed orders.
According to Mark, more powerful nations have always used their relative advantages to get their way over weaker ones. Yup, this has been banal truism numero uno since cavemen invented geopolitics. It's hardly a fresh new insight. The only reason it's remarkable is because it fell from the lips of PM Carney, the ultimate company man, faithful steward of the Capitalist Way and loyal servant to the Billionaire Class.
There has never been a more committed champion of the status quo than Mr Carney. From Harvard to Goldman Sachs to Brookfield, he rolled in the biggest of big leagues. If a true believer like Carney is losing faith, what's next?

OH MY GAWD... HE'S GONNA GRAB GREENLAND!!!
Seems like just a few days ago the uppermost question on our minds was, is he gonna attack Iran? Before that, it was, is he going after Maduro? A few days later, nobody talks about Iran, nobody talks about Maduro, and, in case you didn't notice, nobody's talking about the Epstein files anymore either! Trump is the absolute master of burying the last scandal by creating a new one.
Trump's latest musings have certainly provoked plenty of fear and loathing amongst the NATO satraps. Whereas mere days ago Micron, Stormer, and Schmertz were debating boots on the ground in Ukraine, they had decided against such a move unless America agreed to provide the military muscle. Now they're debating boots on the ground in Greenland to take on the US military? Really?
That's absurd!
Absurd or not, some of the bolder vassals have already got boots on the ground. Norway and Denmark have each sent an officer, while the Germans sent 15 special ops guys, who arrived on the weekend and left today, making it perhaps the briefest foreign occupation in Wehrmacht history.
Meanwhile, our man Carney is thinking about sending Canadian soldiers to show solidarity with NATO. He's also thinking about Trump's invitation to join the Gaza Board of Peace alongside Trump, Tony Blair, and a gaggle of Trump cronies. Maybe if he stands with Trump in Gaza and against him in Greenland things will balance out!

CBC buries story of Supreme Court Emergency Powers decision
If you recall, on February 14 of '22 Justin Trudeau gifted us a Valentine; martial law, by declaring the Emergency Act. For the next 30 days Canada was officially a police state, all because of a bunch of truck-drivers who, according to Justin, entertained unacceptable ideas. Not only that, the ruckus their children created on the bouncy castles was a life-threatening inconvenience to the tens of thousands of civil servants who were working from their downtown Ottawa condos thanks to the covid shutdowns. Those are Justin's base, and he literally declared war on their behalf.
Fast forward a couple years and a lower court finds the declaration of emergency powers was unwarranted and unconstitutional. Of course the government appealed that decision. Fast forward a couple more years and today the Supreme Court was due to render the final judgement on the matter.
I was keen to see how that turned out, so this afternoon I checked out CBC News. Top story, in fact the first seven stories, were all related to Carney's China trip. Scroll down... scroll down... keep scrolling...
Oh! Here we are, 18 stories in! Only after we are apprised of the latest tidbits about Mountie malfeacance, ICE protests, Kashechewan evacuation, Bo Bichette signing with the Mets for $126 million, and a rogue sea lion taking up residence in Howe Sound, does the CBC see fit to inform us that the Supremes sided with the lower court!
Here's something else you might recall. The CBC's coverage of the "Freedom Convoy" was a travesty of journalism and an insult to Canadians. For two weeks their team in Ottawa chased alleged swastika sightings around downtown Ottawa while studiously avoiding any attempt to address the issues. Nobody worked harder to sell Emergency Powers, ie War Measures, than the CBC.
I'm not surprised they want to bury their shame.

Red Donald wants to make America socialist again
Say it ain't so, Donnnie!
You are a hero of US-style bare-knuckle winner-take-all capitalism, a scrappy street-fighter from Queens who turned a modest inheritance of 14,000 high-rise apartment units into a solid second-tier real estate developer. I've been reading some disturbing reports, Donald, and I believe you got some 'splainin' to do.
Firstly, what's this nonsense about keeping hedge funds and venture capital out of single-family homes? "People live in houses, corporations don't," the wise-guy-in-chief recently claimed. Oh really? It is by now a well-established fact in American law that corporations are people too! Did you not get the memmo, Donald?
Secondly,as is widely acknowledged across the media spectrum, a majority of Americans cannot make ends meet on their paycheques alone, and must rely on their credit cards to tide them over the tight spots. Yet you have recently proposed to hobble the credit card companies who provide this invaluable lifeline by freezing interest rates at 10%! That sounds more Marxist than Trumpist to me, Donald.
Thirdly, who in their right mind outside Cuba or communist China would dream of capping CEO pay in the defense sector to a paltry $5 million per year? Holy heck, Donald, there's a Putin pal playing ice hockey a few blocks from the Pentagon who makes double that. Give your head a shake!
Finally, and most distressing, is the executive order freezing share-buybacks and dividends among defense contractors. What? This decree strikes at the very heart of the American Way! This is so egregiously anti-American it might as well have been signed by Joseph Stalin himself! What do you think made America great in the first place?
Pull yourself together, Donald. If you care about making America great again, you'd best change course, pronto. Otherwise, where's the next generation of American billionaires supposed to come from?

Trump shoots down protesters in USA; warns Iran not to harm protesters in Tehran!
That would be hilarious were it not for the utterly insane level of hubristic self-absortion on display. While Deadly Donnie's Storm Troopers terrorize American cities, he somehow finds time to threaten Iran. If harm befalls the protesters running riot in Tehran, Trump's goons are gonna go in guns blazing!
Oddly enough, our courageous Carney, who strictly observes the omerta code when it comes to Israeli or American crimes against humanity, today joined Trump and Bibi in condemning the Iran government and supporting the violent protests we have long sought to foment. If that man had any balls he would have found them by now.

What up with America's outrage re: law enforcement murdering innocent people in the street?
Judging by how the MSM state-affiliated propagandists are hyperventilating over the death of Renee Good, you could be forgiven for thinking maybe this sort of thing is exceeding rare in America...
NOT!!!
Law enforcement routinely snuffs over a thousand lives every year, year in and year out, so what's the big deal?
Murdering citizens in the streets is an American tradition! I grew up watching Hollywood westerns, and it seems if it wasn't the law killing the outlaw, it was the other way round. Either way, somebody gotta die!
America loves war and shock and awe and America loves death. Never lose sight of the fact that Americans killed Americans in the hundreds of thousands in one of the deadliest civil wars in human history. Murder is baked into their DNA.
We forget history when we imagine the present day to be particularly grim. Not at all. We're just in shock at how much the coin of "white privilege" has been debased.

December news: Ubisoft workers in Halifax unionize! January news: Ubisoft shuts down Halifax office!
Coincidence? Nah! That's just how the cookie crumbles here in the allegedly socialist utopia of Canada. It ain't no utopia for workers, certainly not if they're gonna get all uppity and unionize. In Canada, socialism is for the corporate sector, not the workers.
Recall it was only a year prior that the first Amazon warehouse in Canada, in Laval Quebec, was unionized. Amazon, owned by an insatiable greedbag whose wealth runs into the hundreds of billions, responded by shutting down all seven "fullfilment centres" in the province, throwing 1,700 workers into unemployment.
While we're mourning the shabby state of worker protections in Canada, let's not forget the first Walmart to unionize was immediately shut down by the mega-billionaire Walton clan. That was over ten years ago. What has government done since then to protect workers rights?
Why, utterly nothing, of course! This is totally unsatisfactory. Employers who violate worker's rights to unionize need to be held to account.

Chrystia Freeland is Zelensky's pick for reconstruction tsar of rump Banderistan
You have to admit Freeland's heritage of Nazi collaboration makes her the perfect candidate for the job. I refer you to page 290 of Agent Frida's best-seller, "Plutocrats."
"Many members of the global super-elite have helped me to understand their world and some have become friends." She proceeds to rhyme off 16 names, starting with George Soros and Google founder Eric Schmidt, who have become her "friends." Every name on the list is either a billionaire or billionaire-adjacent.
No Ukrainian peasants wondering if their sons will return from the war are on the list.
Freeland has made a big hoo-ha about this being a "volunteer" job. With friends like hers, I'm guessing she'll be well looked after.
She has announced her withdrawal from Canadian politics to take this position. Good riddance!

Carney misses chance to cut puppet strings
I've noticed a pattern in the response of various countries to Trump's attack on Caracas and the kidnapping of the Venezuelan President. The more dependent a state is on America, the more effusive their praise for Trump's criminal actions. That's why Israel and Ukraine were so blindingly quick off the mark. Israel needs Trump to keep the genocide humming, to maintain the bomb supply and run interference at the UN. Ukraine hopes to convince Trump it is not yet a lost cause, so they see no viable options other than continuing to smother the Orange Ogre's ample arse with kisses.
Countries not tied down by bonds of vassalage to American interests, for example the BRICS countries, are more apt to call out US violations of international laws and norms. Even some of our NATO allies are decrying Trump's attack. Spain's PM Sanchez said;"Spain did not recognize the Maduro regime, but neither will it recognize an intervention that violates international law and pushes the region into uncertainty and belligerence."
In contrast, Canada "welcomes the opportunity for freedom, democracy, peace and prosperity for the Venezuelan people." Oddly enough, that's pretty much the same buffet of good stuff the American war machine promised Iraq, Syria, Libya, Afghanistan, and Somalia, to name a few. For some reason it never seems to pan out.
At the very least, Carney could have expressed some reservations, but he's super-keen on not pissing off Trump. Mark Carney doesn't want to be the next foreign leader to get a helicopter ride!

Trump gives up on Nobel Peace Prize
I daresay he's also given up on his goal to be remembered as the "Peace President." Would such a man bomb Nigeria on Christmas day? I don't think so.
And then today's historic achievement, one that will forever cement Donny J's reputation as the greatest Commander-in-Chief of all time, the utterly brilliant take-down of world-leading narco-terrorist Maduro. Take note this amazing achievement is all the more amazing in that not a single piece of US equipment was lost! Yup, not a single shot was fired as those American attack helicopters filled the skies over Caracas!
Hmmm... doesn't that seem kinda fishy? Do you think maybe the fix was in? Spreading around a few hundred millions to ambitious mid-level apparatchiks, who would just as soon live in Miami anyway, is chicken feed when you just snatched the biggest oil reserves in the world!
And how fishy is it that a high-level Chinese delegation was holding meetings with Maduro just hours before the coup? They have a lot of investments in Venezuela. They were likely ironing out the details that would ensure their interests would be preserved. Trump has already expressed interest in joint ventures with Russia, why not joint ventures with China in Venezuela?
I suspect we're looking at another exercise in Trumpian razzle-dazzle, like when he "obliterated" Iran's nuke program. Maduro is most likely in on the game. Look for him to walk on those charges on a technicality, and then live happily ever after in Miami!

Happy New Year! Welcome to Annus Horribilis Maximus!
We're not talking about your visit to the proctologist here.
I'm thinking 2026 is shaping up to be a watershed year. There is no happiness in the new year for a great slice of humanity. For a lot of them, this is no big deal, because when have they ever had a happy new year? I'm talking about the 3rd world/global south crowd who perpetually get the short end of the stick when it comes to sharing the fruits of modernity etc.
But many of us, accustomed to being on the winning side always, are in for a rude shock. This is a good news - bad news story. The bad news, in a nutshell, is 500 years of Anglo-European domination is winding down. The American Empire is visibly wobbling, economically, militarily, and politically.
That's also the good news. What has happened in Ukraine is that the entire USA-NATO brand has been exposed as a paper tiger. Great! We no longer have to knock ourselves out to hit those Trump-imposed 5% NATO spending targets!
Free at last! Free at last!
The good news is the death of NATO frees up a shitload of money to address the many crises Canada faces.
On top of that loss of all military cred in Ukraine, the coming year promises the implosion of the AI bubble. For all practical purposes China has already won the AI race.
There you have it. Maximum Horribilis for the Empire and its dependencies, like Israel and NATO; happy days for the rest of the world.
Happy New Year!
