What up with America's outrage re: law enforcement murdering innocent people in the street?

Judging by how the MSM state-affiliated propagandists are hyperventilating over the death of Renee Good, you could be forgiven for thinking maybe this sort of thing is exceeding rare in America... NOT!!! Law enforcement routinely snuffs over a thousand lives every year, year in and year out, so what's the big deal? Murdering citizens in the streets is an American tradition! I grew up watching Hollywood westerns, and it seems if it wasn't the law killing the outlaw, it was the other way round. Either way, somebody gotta die! America loves war and shock and awe and America loves death. Never lose sight of the fact that Americans killed Americans in the hundreds of thousands in one of the deadliest civil wars in human history. Murder is baked into their DNA. We forget history when we imagine the present day to be particularly grim. Not at all. We're just in shock at how much the coin of "white privilege" has been debased.

White Privilege in action- Canada 2022

The other day, the local high school celebrated the arrival of the first refugee student from the Ukraine war. The front office even played the Ukrainian national anthem in their honour during the morning announcements! 

Truly a warm welcome!

The Ukraine war began February 24th of this year.

Among the folks listening to the morning announcements were several who have been involved in efforts to bring Afghan refugees to Canada. The Afghan war ended, for Canada, in 2014. It ended for good six months before the Ukraine war started.

These folks have been struggling to bring Afghan refugees to Canada for years. 

They're still working on it.

Afghan refugees are brown and Muslim.

Ukrainian refugees are white and Christian.

That's what "white privilege" looks like, especially when your Deputy PM, aka Fluffy's brain, is a Ukrainian nationalist.

Canada gives tip 'o the cap to white privilege

Not often I find myself on the same page as the wokelings at CBC News. Brodie Fenlon's got another excruciating essay on view today making excuses for the pathetic "journalism" he's responsible for. One of the great injustices of the universe is he takes home a decent dollar to write that crap, while I do better journalism on this blog for free.

But I digress. CBC has featured a number of stories contrasting our government's approach to Ukrainian vs. Afghan refugees.

For the brown Muslim refugees, we set a quota, provide oodles of hoops to jump through, and close our embassy in Afghanistan to make that hoop-jumping paper-shuffling all but impossible.

For the white Christian refugees, COME ON IN!!! 

No paperwork! No hoops! Automatic two year work visa at the door!

Hmm...

Now if I may make a suggestion.

CBC's news coverage has for three weeks excluded virtually anything from other conflict zones. How are things going in the Afghanistan we once loved so much 158 Canadians died for... I'm not sure what, but let's not forget their sacrifice so readily.

How's things going with Somalia, another shithole where Canada left its mark. Remember that?

We're owed updates on a few other unstable shitholes where we were all-in to help Uncle Sam and our NATO allies restore stability, like Libya, Kosovo, Mali, and other non-white zones.

Zoom out a little from that white-on-white spectacle playing itself out in Ukraine. The news should be about more than stupid white people.

John Deere 820

As you know, sitting on the stoop watching the world go by is my default setting.

Every farmer in Bruce County was spreading shit last week. My local guys were at it too. Saw the neighbour going by pulling a manure wagon with a 1956 John Deere 820.

Couple of days later he pulls up the drive on his ATV. He's wearing a helmet.

We've been here 15 years and we've never seen Buddy with a helmet on his head.

Turns out he had the misfortune of having an OPP officer coming the other way one day last week. We don't generally see a lot of those folks, so taking a run up to the other pasture without a helmet kinda got normalized.

But the cop didn't bust his ass. 

That's your white privilege, I told him.

Anyway, I quizzed him about the 820. She was a two cylinder diesel. He's a John Deere man through and through. He's also got a John Deere 420, if one can imagine such a thing.

That's the tractor for me.

Steve Nash gets woke

 I see where Steve Nash has fessed up to his White Privilege. I always thought there was a wiff of White Privilege behind his career. How else would a guy 6'2" get into the NBA?

There you go; White Privilege! 

But that's not what Steve was talking about. No, it's about his coaching gig. Seems he took the Whites Only fast-track to a head coaching job, which he obviously did.

So here's what bugs me about this. Steve, just like that school board superintendent who apologized for her white privilege a couple of years ago out in BC, is willing to spew a little woke-speak, but he won't follow through by doing the right thing. And if his remarks are even remotely sincere, renouncing his privilege has to mean declining the job, if it means anything at all.

Do the right thing, Steve, or live with the shame of being just another virtue-signalling hypocrite. 

The terrible burden of white privilege

Embarrassing shit can happen when white folks get woke. Take this for example;

 

Ms. Downs is Superintendent of Schools for School District 74 in British Columbia.  According to the BC sunshine list, she pulled down $158,530 in 2016 for doing whatever it is that school board bigs do, which near as I can tell involves a lot of liaising with other educrats to invent bullshit reasons for why their graduates can't read or write and struggle with grade-school math.

You'd think that if Ms. Downs was truly troubled by her white privilege she'd do the right thing and step down. After all, for a school district that is 60% native Canadian, there's got to be some capable aboriginal candidates around willing and able to do the job.

Instead, we're treated to this fatuous exercise in virtue signalling.

Checking my white privilege

Ya, I guess there's no getting around the fact that I'm a honky. Unlike that Dolezal woman, I don't have a snowball's chance in hell of passing.

Today me and the Farm Manager took a tour up to Tobermory to scope out waterfront real estate that might be suitable for our retirement.

Personally, I find that white privilege is highly over-rated. True, I've never suffered police brutality, although there were a couple of occasions in my youth where I didn't really think it was necessary for the dickheads to draw their sidearms. And I have to admit they didn't open fire, so maybe white privilege does count for something.

Anyway, we had a fine day if it, capped by a lovely lunch at the Princess Hotel in Tobermory. That's run by a Greek family. What's up with the Greeks? Do they have white privilege? One thing I know for sure is they have a knack for running restaurants. The Kritikos family has done a great job with their hotel-restaurant, and they've recently expanded into offering extra-virgin olive oil from their family's olive groves in the old country.

Then we drove around and collected some names off for sale signs, and got home to do some research on the internet. Here's one real estate agent who came up more than once.

Not sure how far my white privilege is gonna get me in my quest for waterfront on the Bruce.

Oregon and "white privilege"

There's a lot of internet chatter about how those so-called patriots converging on Oregon today are the beneficiaries of something called "white privilege." That's where white folks allegedly get away with shit that black folks would get shot down in the street for, no questions asked.

I would direct those who subscribe to this theory to Waco massacre one (1993) and Waco massacre two (2015).

In both cases, having a white ass did nothing to save those seen as a possible threat, no matter how insignificant, to the Empire.

Religious nutters.

Patriots...

Black teens...
