Well, maybe not exactly outrage across America, but Fox News did manage to find a few Americans who took umbrage with Citgo lowering the flags in front of their office buildings.
Guess none of them were among the 1.7 million low-income Americans who have benefited from Hugo's fuel-oil give-away.

Hillbilly blogger beats CNN and Fox to Patriot missiles in Turkey by a week
Here's the story on CNN today.
And here's the story on Fox News today.
The think tank here at Falling Downs had the story a week ago.
How is such a thing even possible?
It's possible because CNN and Fox and the rest of them aren't just there to report the news, they're there to manage the news.
While they obviously have access to anything that was discussed here a week ago, they chose to sit on the story for a week.
Why? I'm guessing it's because it's more useful today than it was a week ago.
It's a useful story for ramping up the anti-Syria hysteria that needs to be in full bloom before America is
willing to put boots on the ground in that country.

Justice for America
I'm watching Fox News and when we go to a commercial break my screen proclaims "Justice for America".
John Bolton was just on being a little less inflammatory than I might have expected.
Hell, it's John Bolton; I was expecting "nuke 'em now!"
We've got Erick Stafelbeck on now. In a civilized country his oeuvre would be considered hate speech from start to finish.
There does not seem to be the slightest awareness on the part of host or guest about why these many Muslim countries are wracked with anti-American rioting.
Instead, we are putting forward the thesis that America should be compensated for all the money she has spent bringing freedom to the Arab world.
It's time we demanded justice for America.

Money, media, and power
There's a fascinating story unfolding in Mexico at the moment.
Mexican's go to exercise their democratic franchise in a couple of weeks. The supposed front runner, the PRI's Enrique Nieto, turns out to be the guy who has paid off the media to get the most favorable news coverage.
This would never be a scandal in America.
Why?
The Citizen's United case basically makes it legal to buy unlimited positive spin.
Even when you're buying it in the no-spin zone.
