Fox News is reporting that the Obama administration has put on hold the recently announced "Distinguished Warfare Medal."
Apparently more than a few veterans who got medals in actual, as opposed to virtual combat, have been lobbying for a review of the relative status of the proposed cybermedal.
As we pointed out at the time, America's cyber warriors risk eye-strain and headaches in the service of their country. While we wouldn't want to make light of their suffering, there's millions of combat vets who took risks of an exponentially greater magnitude; actual bombs and bullets.
Here's a link to a White House petition requesting a review of the relative rank of the Distinguished Warfare Medal.
