Ukraine launches long-promised Kherson counter-attack

Depending on where you get your news, this counter-attack has been building momentum as far back as May. This morning various Ukraine oriented news sites were reporting the long-awaited counter-attack was actually really finally happening. By the time the evening news came around, the story had all but disappeared. Wonder what happened in between?
