Proud Boys boss exposed as FBI informant

Check this out. Not only is the leader of the feared "white supremacist" militia the Proud Boys a Black man, he's also got an impressive track record as a police informant!

Most US news platforms have at least dropped the white supremacist nonsense since Tarrio was arrested in Washington on Jan 4. Now they stick with some iteration of "domestic far-right terrorist extemists" when hyperventilating about the group, as even your typical 'merican tard finds it a little much to believe that a bunch of supposed white supremacists would allow themselves to be led by a Black man.

The CBC has no such reservations. If Bill Blair and Jagmeet Singh call them white supremacists, well, alrighty then! Besides, the entire House of Commons voted unanimously to label them a terrorist group, so they are obviously a serious threat to Canada's democratic values...

The real threat to our values will come further down the road. If we follow the US lead and call anti-government groups domestic terrorists, we'll soon be employing the same tactics of surveillance, deceit, and entrapment that we used against so-called Muslim terrorists. That's what's a threat to a free society, not a bunch of yahoos walking around in camo.

Four more years of Fluffy

Or maybe not... coalition governments have a tendency to die a premature death.

I'm guessing that having to coordinate policy with the NDP will put the brakes on Mr. Trudeau's authoritarian tendencies, which would be good for the country but won't sit well with Trudeau. He'll ditch that coalition the moment he thinks he can win a majority.

That would be a mistake. This campaign has elevated the profile of Scheer from non-entity to contender. In fact, he won the popular vote. A credible performance in the months ahead would boost his chances next time round. I'm sure Justin would rather share the power pie with Jag than see Scheer gorf down the whole thing.

Hopefully, we will now tone down our enthusiasm for regime change in Venezuela. Our "leadership" of the Lima Group is an embarrassment to Canada and a stain on her reputation.  Although a lot of Liberals share that view, the Trudeau-Freeland team has successfully throttled them. That won't be so easy now that Justin will have to keep at least one eye on his coalition partners, and that's where anti-Lima Group sentiment in parliament has been most frequently voiced.

If I were Jagmeet, I'd make shuffling Chrystia out of Foreign Affairs a precondition for any coalition agreement.

New Brunswick grabs the Democratic Process by the ass

Well, this is rude.

Fourteen NDPers jump ship en masse for the Greenies!

It's a bad day for Jagmeet and a good one for whatsername over there at the Green Party.

And what is her name?... Elizabeth Green? Greene? It's Elizabeth something or other, I'm pretty sure...

Whatever it is, it's got about as much traction in the media universe as Jagmeet's brand.

Don't look this gift horse in the mouth, Liz.

Justin, Jagmeet, and Jody; fixing Canada's politics in three easy steps

Step One: Jagmeet's had a year and a half to create some buzz around the party he took over from Angry Tom. Nothing has happened. Clearly the party needs fresh leadership, a fact that will become even more clear if he fails to win Burnaby South.

Step Two: Draft the most popular politician in Canada, former Justice Minister Jody Wilson-Raybould, to be the next NDP leader.

Step Three: Elect Jody as PM in October. The vast majority of the populace is beyond fed-up with Justin's over-the-top virtue signalling and the content-free grandstanding of his faux feminist rhetoric. Yes Justin, we need more feminist bitumen pipelines to meet our climate change obligations... now please go away, and take that photo-op junkie Freeland with you!

The trouble with immigrants

I see where Karen Wang has been shelved as the Liberal candidate for Burnaby South after party apparatchiks found out she'd referred to her primary competition, NDP leader-without-a-seat Jagmeet Singh, as an "Indian."

Jagmeet has been the lame-duck NDP leader since he became NDP leader, but thus far nobody has had the politically incorrect effrontery to refer to him as "Indian."

We're talking about Indians from India, of course, not the Canadian variety... you know, the folks we swindled out of this land. Karen had the temerity not only to note that Jagmeet was "Indian," but she suggested to her Chinese constituency that if they all voted along ethnic lines, they could collectively deny him a seat in the House, thereby rendering the lame duck even lamer.

Cue the moral outrage! The Lib party elite desperately want Jagmeet to win in Burnaby, mainly because they want a lame-duck NDP leader to run against in the next federal election. God forbid the NDP come up with someone remotely appealing as the leader they'd have to face!

So Wang's candidacy has been duly rescinded to appease the gods of political correctitude, but also to serve the interests of the party elite.

Here's how the always astute CBC reports the matter;

"Recent online comments by Karen Wang are not aligned with the values of the Liberal Party of Canada," said a statement from the party.
"The Liberal Party has a clear commitment to positive politics and support for Canadian diversity, and the same is always expected of our candidates."
So Karen Wang's sin was to appeal to the ethnic identity of voters in Burnaby South.
That's the trouble with immigrants. Sometimes they remember where they came from. Sometimes they even remember the ethnic rivalries of the places they came from. That's obviously a taboo in our politically correct climate.
Because diversity is our strength...
My own clan were DP immigrants from Germany who got off the boat at Pier 21 in 1956. Of course we remembered where we came from! The fact that the Germans had lost two world wars in rapid succession was never allowed to becloud our belief that we were superior in every way to Poles, Greeks, Italians... just about everyone, come to think of it! That's just the way of the world...
Or at least it used to be.

In the fullness of time, our extended clan eventually adopted, married into, became business partners with, or sponsored as refugees virtually every ethnicity under the sun!
The world today is in the hands of folks who write books like "Maximum Canada." That's the McKinsey & Co vision of a Canada with a hundred million citizens who all cleave to a generic and politically correct version of nationhood where "diversity is our strength..."
Whatever that means.
Karen Wang is obviously too smart to internalize that bullshit.

Diversity will only become a strength when we can call out, comment on, and at the end of the day, respect our differences.
(Postscript 25.1.2019  My dear parents recently had their DNA tested by one of those ancestry outfits, and apparently their German DNA is swamped by Swedish and East European DNA... so we weren't really all that "German" after all.)
