Game changer! Canada donates 10 inflatable boats to Ukraine

Inflatable boats are gonna turn the tide in the war with Russia? Of course! Whenever Zelly or Zaluzhny are doing their begging bowl tours that’s the first thing that comes up, right? After all, ten Zodiak inflatables should drive the aggressor out of the Black Sea for good! My hunch is even Murray Brewster and his CBC editors were embarrassed. That’s why the story says we "sent equipment" without specifying what that equipment was. Blair and his boss needed a snappy headline, so the word went down the ranks; what’s left in the cupboard? After a thorough search of DND warehouses across the land, word came back, “they pretty much cleaned us out already, but we do have these ten Zodiaks, purchased as lifeboats for our sub fleet, that we don’t need anymore.” Ukraine doesn’t need them either, but Blair and Trudeau got a headline that makes it look like they’re doing something. Yup… look at us, still standing with Ukraine!

Putin pouts as Canada flexes muscles in Arctic

Bad Vlad is shaking in his boots if he's read this story at CBC news.

First thing he would have noticed, and it's right there in the title, is that Canada has allies!

Yessiree! Canada isn't just a lone empty suit spouting platitudes out there on the world stage. We're not alone; we're in tight with France and Denmark, and (at this point Vlad was starting to smirk, but wait for it...)  the BIG DOG!

Bet that smirk got wiped off his commie-fascist face right quick when he read about the presence of "the brand-new American guided missile destroyer USS Thomas Hudner" up there in Canada's Arctic.

---------

I guess at some level this story might be "news," but why does Murray Brewster have to frame it in jingoistic clap-trap?  We're in the Arctic honing our "basic war-fighting skills" with our allies...

Oh are we? And the war we are preparing to fight will be against our "adversaries," Russia and China?

Full Stop.

This article is nothing but militaristic pro-war propaganda. Canada as a country has absolutely nothing to gain by allying with the Americans against Russia and China. The failing and flailing American Empire is collapsing before our eyes, but we want to support them as they foment war with Russia and China?

Complete idiocy. Canada needs to mind its own business, because there's more than enough to mind. We don't need to invest 20 billions in new fighter jets and 80 billions in new warships just so we can "stand with our allies."

Let's invest those billions in Canadians instead. One hundred billions would go a long way in addressing the problems that bedevil us as a country. Just imagine a Canada where everyone has a roof over their head, a roof they can't get kicked out of because their teenager got busted with a bag of weed.

Imagine your kid graduating university without $50 thousand in student debt.

Imagine a living wage for everyone. Imagine humane elder-care. Imagine a universal pension plan that would allow every elder to live in dignity.

Imagine all the things we can't do because our priority is to spend that money on US armaments, which we are obliged to do so we can "stand with our allies," as Ally-in-Chief Donald Trump provokes war with Russia and China.

CBC reveals Putin using COVID-19 to subvert democracy

Seems every day brings another scary story or two or three about the malevolent machinations of Russia, China, Iran, or all of the above.

Here is one of today's odious offerings.

Check out the sources for the story.

The boss of the Canadian Armed Forces. He has "seen some stuff," but he can't really talk about it because, it's top secret, of course.

Then there's the Ukrainian ambassador, always a reliable source for the latest scoop on Putin's perfidy.

Rounding out the line-up of impeccable sources, we have "analyst" George Barros of a "Washington-based think-tank."

Well, if a Washington-based think-tank says it, it's obviously true!

There are literally hundreds of think-tanks based in Washington, and if Murray Brewster was doing actual journalism instead of peddling propaganda, he would have let us know which one it was.

Murray or his editors didn't think that was important, so let me fill in the blank; The Institute for the Study of War.

Spend some time perusing their website. It shouldn't take more than ten seconds to get a sense of their Weltanschauuing.

Iran bad. Israel good.

America a force for good in Middle East, as in every region of planet.

America is the Exceptional Nation, carrying high the banner of freedom and human rights and democracy, her sails filled with the breath of God Himself.

The Institute for the Study of War is yet another disinformation outlet for the Kagan clan, perhaps the most belligerent family of war-mongers in America today. They've not run into many American-sponsored wars they didn't like, and if they didn't like them it was because America didn't get tough enough on the ingrates who resent her unending campaigns to impose their will and their chosen Quislings on the rogue states of the world, ie anyone who who objects to taking their marching orders from Washington.

Canada all-in for butchery in Baghdad

Canadian media have given wall-to-wall sympathetic coverage to the anti-government protests in Hong Kong, which, as far as I know, have yet to take a single life.

That coverage has eclipsed mention of far more deadly protests in countries we are allied to. The CBC and the Globe and Mail don't seem to have a lot of room on their platforms to report on protests in Haiti, Gaza, Honduras, Chile, Colombia, France...

Or Iraq. In fact, In Iraq, where anti-government protesters have been slaughtered in the hundreds, we're proud to be steadfast in our training mission to train the folks shooting down the protesters. Check out Murray Brewster's load of bullshit on view at the CBC today.

In Hong Kong, the protesters are heroes.

In Iraq, we're proud to train the heroes who shoot the protesters down.

That's your tax dollars at work, folks!
