Yup, Brigadier General Hussam Alawak of the Free Syrian Army, or perhaps the Syrian Free Army, the Nations of Virtue fiction that justifies our bombing of Syria's infrastructure, has some tips on Canada's latest me-too neo-crusader mission.
It's funny how these commanders in the Free Syrian Army rarely if ever command anything on the ground in Syria, and rarely if ever are in Syria. Nevertheless, Canada's CTV network finds his comments newsworthy.
It's even funnier that while the imaginary Syrian Free Army has virtually no boots on the ground in Syria, their rank-and-file having long ago decamped to join the ranks of ISIS or al-Nusra, they retain a shit-load of Generals and even Brigadier Generals, all living large in London or Paris or Cairo, on their US provisioned stipends.
Guess it's good to have a few Generals in your back pocket in case an army comes along that needs them...
But here's the gist of the good Brigadier General's message; instead of spending many millions on this fatuous exercise in me-tooism, Canada should be putting that money into training up moderate Syrian forces for that ground war...
Yup.
Any flaws in that scenario?
First of all, check the record of anywhere in the world where Canadian police or military have been training up the locals. I'm not going to tell you how it works out; I want you to find out for yourself.
Is there, anywhere in the world, a track record that suggests Canada should be doing more of this?
Anyway, that's the advice Mr. Brigadier General of the imaginary Free Syrian Army has for Canada.
Here's the advice this humble Canadian has for Canada; why can't we mind our own business and get our own house in order? God knows there's enough to do.

Syrian rebel commander claims Israel is intervening on behalf of Assad regime
The Jerusalem Post reports that the IAF raids on Syrian weapons last week were intended to keep those weapons away from FSA fighters.
Abdulkader Sahleh of the al -Tawhid Brigades claims that a major weapons cache was about to fall into the hands of the opposition when the Israelis struck.
If this claim is verified it would establish an unprecedented level of coordination between the IDF and the Syrian military.

US troops trash Turkish mosque
What's the big deal? Sounds like a few good ole boys letting off a bit of steam on New Years Eve.
Seems the locals are in a bit of a flap though. The mosque is at the US/NATO air base at Incirlik, where thousands of American servicemen have been keeping the free world free since the 1950's.
It's also the home base of the Syrian Free Army. Those are the "good" Syrian rebels outfitted and trained by the Nations of Virtue. The "bad" rebels are Jabhat al-Nusra and their Al-Qaeda affiliated allies who are doing most of the actual fighting against Assad.
This incident underlines yet again the inability of the Americans to build constructive relationships within the Islamic world. How many of the "good" rebels will now be more inclined to align themselves with the so-called terrorist rebels?

Meet the Syrian Human Rights Observatory
From left to right: Rami Abdulrahmen, reporter;
Rami Abdulrahmen, editor; Rami Abdulrahmen, producer; Rami Abdulrahmen,
researcher; Rami Abdulrahmen, fact checker
Yup, it’s a one man show, that Syrian Observatory for
Human Rights. Never before in the history of journalism has a one man show got
this much face time on major media.
Apparently Rami hasn’t been to Syria in at least ten
years. He has no network and no fact-checkers. He just passes on stuff that
somebody may or may not have made up. He has no way of knowing. We have no way
of knowing either. Maybe he just makes stuff up himself.
But Rami’s Syrian
Observatory for Human Rights gets major face-time on Fox, CNN, ABC, NBC,
CBS, BBC and al Jazeera.

The 'Free Syria Army' meets bullshit detection 101
The Free Syria Army, stage managed by us from an airbase in Turkey, has got a video out showing off some Iranian prisoners they've captured in Homs. The intent is obvious; to confirm what this blog has said all along, that the Syrian "uprising" is just the western front in our already-on war against Iran.
What trips up their propaganda video is the fact that they make such a big deal of showing off the passports of the supposed Iranians they have captured fighting for the regime in Damascus.
Hmmm...
This blog is read by folks in every country that made up the 'coalition of the willing'. Let me ask you boys and girls, when you were shipped off to Iraq or Afghanistan, was your passport part of your kit? Did you carry your US/Canadian/UK/Polish/etc passport in your pocket when you went out on missions in Iraq and Afghanistan?
I'm guessing not.
But these twats who run PR for the 'Free Syria Army' think we're stupid enough to believe that Iran would send fighters to Syria, with their passports in their pockets, so that in the event that they fall into enemy hands they can be a propaganda coup?
Nice try, but you'll have to try harder.
