Russia bans Canadian state broadcaster

A couple of months after we ban Russian site RT, the Russians ban the CBC. PM Fluffy then shows up on CBC to inform me this state of affairs proves that we, who banned first, are somehow the champions of media freedom. Alrighty then! And Ukraine will continue to win this war. Russia will collapse. Good will triumph over evil! And the world will once again rally ‘round the Stars and Stripes, the eternal banner of all that is good in this world. Maybe. What I fear is more likely, is that the Exceptionalists driving this conflict with Russia will drive us over the cliff. What I don't get is how we seem to be going along with this death wish. By "we" I mean the populations of the NATO/EU "democracies" who acquiesce to this idiocy. Can the people of Sweden, officially neutral for over 200 years,suddenly feel so threatened by Putin's war in Ukraine to upend 200 years of common sense? They stayed officially neutral throughout two world wars, but this intra-Slavic conflict, which has, after three months, cost less lives than what the fire-bombing of Dresen took in one night, is allowed to end 200 years of neutrality? I say, put it to the people in a referendum.
