Biden claims US is still a beacon to the world... sure thing, Joe! 10,000 migrants wading across the Rio Grande every day can't be wrong! Biden’s speech from the Oval Office last night was an unofficial declaration of WWIII. We must not waver in our support for Ukraine. And we can never ever waver in our support for the Chosen People. Ergo, we must gird our loins for the coming battle against evil-doers. Airy-fairy shit like the Climate Crisis is obviously gonna have to wait. We are embarking on the ultimate struggle between good and evil, and if you think we’re not the good guys, you’ve obviously been poisoned by Putin’s propaganda. Meanwhile, reports were already coming in about missile attacks on illegal US outposts in Iraq and Syria, and that was before Apocalypse Joe even finished his speech! Meanwhile, the IDF has the green light to roll into Gaza… Meanwhile, Hezbollah has promised it’ll send missiles to Tel Aviv and Dimona if IDF enters Gaza… Meanwhile, USA has carrier strike force in East Med, with a second carrier strike force on its way… Meanwhile, Russia has hypersonic missiles that are eager to meet that US fleet… The times are getting way too interesting for my liking.

Zelensky betrays his sugar daddy

It came as a shock to read that Ihor Kolomoisky has been detained in Ukraine on suspicion of financial hanky-panky involving the paltry sum of a few millions of dollars. As a matter of course, Kolomoisky’s financial shenanigans more typically involve billions, not millions. It is perhaps a measure of the man’s hubris that he was even present in Ukraine to be detained. He clearly believed he was untouchable. As an Israeli citizen he could readily have stayed home in deportation-proof Israel, but maybe he’s a true Ukrainian patriot at heart, and wanted to do his part for the war effort. Whatever his reasoning, he’s up something of a stump now. After all his years investing in Zelensky’s career, guiding him from the comedy clubs all the way to the presidency, this betrayal must come as quite a shock. On the other hand, he should have seen it coming. After all, it has been beyond obvious for the past year and a half that Zelly has a new sugar daddy with much deeper pockets; Joe Biden.

OPEC blows Brandon a big fat raspberry

“Every ten years or so, the United States needs to pick up some small crappy little country and throw it against the wall, just to show the world we mean business." - Michael Ledeen, advisor to presidents and American thought leader That quote succinctly summarizes American hubris as experienced by much of the rest of the world over the past 150 years. To the surprise of nobody except the Americans, the rest of the world has noticed. That’s why Mr. Biden has had no luck convincing America’s “friends and allies” among oil producers to increase production. He’s facing mid-terms imminently, and the American electorate get right grumpy about $6/gallon gas no matter how many crappy little countries their military has thrown against the wall lately. The Saudis can’t help. The Mexicans can’t help. The UAE can’t help, even after that beauty peace deal young Kushner gifted them with Israel. The Venezuelans aren’t interested, even with the promise of sanctions relief. Maybe they recall how hard the Americans worked to throw them against the wall. In fact, pretty much the only country willing to ship more gas to the US is Canada, and we’re coming to the rescue as fast as we can. Just a few more decades to sort out those pesky Indigenous land claims, and then a few more to build the infrastructure, and we’ll be there with bells on! All of this because America convinced its EU allies to destroy the Russian economy by boycotting Russian oil. Less oil on the market - prices go up! Who knew? Until yesterday the Americans imagined they had enough clout with OPEC to coerce a production increase. Instead, the vile ingrates did the opposite of what Biden requested, scaling back production by 2 million bbls per day. Meanwhile, how is that Russian economic collapse shaping up? It’s starting to look like Russia may have more friends in the world than we imagined, and it’s the Americans who are increasingly isolated.

Leader of Free World falls off bike

Better to fall off a Schwinn than a Harley, I guess. But he got right back up! Wasn’t that inspirational? Uncle Sam’s been falling off his bike quite a lot these past few decades. That fact has yet to impact the bellicose rhetoric emanating from the self-appointed boss of the world. The Americans still believe that they are the light on a hill that illuminates the path to freedom, democracy, a partridge in a pear tree, and goodness knows what else for the rest of humanity. The trail of destruction left in the wake of America’s mission to remake the world in its image has been successfully erased by the narrative managers. But how much longer can this go on? The US and her obedient satraps in the collective West have been winning the propaganda war in Ukraine. Unfortunately for them, the actual war on the ground has been going in the opposite direction. PR is about to succumb to reality. That’s not the leader of the Free World… That’s just a senile old man falling off his bike.

Sleepy Joe goes to Warsaw; Zelensky goes to Doha

Shared values, blah blah blah... Anybody who thinks our European allies don't sense America's weakness is deluding themselves.

Sadly for them, that realization only highlights their own weakness. Remember, it was the Poles who were quick to pass the hot potato right back to Washington when the Americans had the bright idea that Poland should deliver a fleet of mothballed and obsolete MIG-21 fighter jets to Ukraine.

Nevertheless, the leader of the free world appears to have secured an agreement to wean the EU from dependence on Russian energy, and make it dependent on US energy instead. That's what passes for a win in the current context.

Will this deprive Russia of much-needed income to pursue its war agenda, as we are told? Not so long as most of the world, including putative US allies like India, Indonesia, and Pakistan (which collectively hold almost one quarter of the world's population) are not participating in the US led economic sanctions of all things Russian.

What is more likely is that global trade is increasingly destined to occur outside the US dollar, which in the long run is a greater threat to American power than any hypersonic missile.

Meanwhile, Zelensky's Global Zoom Tour landed at the Doha Energy Forum. His hosts listened politely, acknowledged Ukraine's thirst for justice, and then started talking about the Palestinian people's seven decades long quest for justice to be done!

If nothing else, that's a timely reminder that Ukraine isn't the only tragedy unfolding in the world.

A brief history of Sleepy Joe's warnings to the world

As we all know, America is the undisputed leader of the world.

OK, maybe not the actual "world" world, but the free and democratic world; the "good guys." Being global supremo is a heavy burden. It's a lot like herding cats. It takes a lot of stern warnings to keep a lid on things. Allies and adversaries alike need frequent reminders of who's in charge.

Here's the Biden admin warning its Middle East allies not to play footsie with Bashar al-Assad, the evil dictator of Syria. Result? Assad just wrapped his Middle East Friendship Tour of US allies.

Here's a stern Biden warning to NATO ally Turkey to cease and desist ignoring previous warnings, or else!

Result? Business as usual.

Even before he took the oath of office, Sleepy Joe warned India against buying weapons from Russia. Result? India still buying Russian weapons. Also ignores Biden warning not to buy Russian oil by buying Russian oil.

Here's Biden warning China of consequences for support of Russia. Result? China still supporting Russia.

Here's Biden warning the European allies a year ago that America is back. How's that working out for them?

Iran has of course been thumbing their nose at US warnings since 1979, and life goes on.

And here's the most ominous Biden warning of all, warning Putin against invading Ukraine. Result? Putin invades Ukraine.

I think I'm starting to detect a pattern here. Maybe Sleepy Joe isn't the right guy to be leading the world.

Uncle Sam has a serious credibility deficit, and it's making the world a more dangerous place.

Do you miss Trump yet?

In hindsight, there was something soothingly predictable about the Trump years.

It didn't seem like it at the time. The ten-foot-high headlines excoriated the Orange Ogre for one calamity after another, day after day after day.

But looking back, none of it amounted to much of a hill of beans. You could pretty much sum it up as Donny J being an obnoxious a-hole.

There was no war in Europe. 

He didn't even start a fresh one anywhere, which surprised me. I thought for sure that was coming after he rubbed out Soleimani.

Plus, he had a high entertainment quotient. Look where ratings are for CNN and MSNBC now that Trump's not carrying them anymore.

Anyway, four years of Mafia Don was plenty, and we figured we'd enjoy four years of peace and quietude with Sleepy Joe snoozing in the wheelhouse.

Well, Holy Mother of God!!!

We're just past the one year mark, and look around!

Gasoline at record high!

Murders at record high!

Inflation at record high... ditto for military budget, budget deficit, etc.

And now, the existential anxiety of wondering what Putin might do next.

For all the uncouth a-holery, it now seems the Trump years were the years of peace and quietude!

Could Biden be worse than Trump?

The American cable news networks have rallied round the banner of American Exceptionalism. MSNBC still fobs most of the blame for the Afghanistan surrender onto Trump, although they're not as keen on Sleepy Joe as they were a week ago.

CNN seems undecided. Their man Joe ain't quite the man they thought he was. They're about 50/50 in assigning blame.

Fox, the semi-official mouthpiece of all things Republican, now has all the proof they need that Biden's been a dementia-riddled husk all along.

But all of them agree that this gigantic sloppy turd the Talibs just left on their exceptionalist carpet has ruined the reputation of the Exceptional Nation everywhere and for all time.

Get your conspiracy ducks in a row

I've been studying up on conspiracy theories more than I care to admit, but I think I've sorta got things figured out, for the most part, at least somewhat.

Black Lives Matter and affiliated Marxist enterprises are all funded by billionaires and their foundations. Billionaires are by definition capitalists, who are secretly Marxists. Joe Biden is ushering in a communist revolution, because that's what you do when you have record levels of Wall Street (ie Marxist) campaign money. The Chinese communists want to take over the world, but the Biden communists don't like them, so we have to have a nuclear war to see who is a better communist. Climate change will kill us all if covid and communism don't, and that's why we should ban bad thoughts from the internet, and especially ban bad thoughts about vaccine, because bad people. 

And there's always the distinct possibility that Jews are behind it all.

Retired General Rick Hillier, drafted in to spearhead Ontario's vaccine roll-out for the modest stipend of $20,000 per month, on top of his six-figure government pension, is struggling to deliver the goods.

But that's not his fault.

There's misinformation out there.

Sometimes, even disinformation!

As a general rule, Putin's minions are behind disinformation.

But praise the Lord, there's a new sheriff on the world stage!... well, actually it's more like the old sheriff is back. You'll recall the old sheriff fondly. Sheriff Joe.

The old Sheriff brought democracy and human rights to Ukraine, Libya, and Syria. 

And thanks to General Hillier, democracy and human rights also launched in Afghanistan. 

Looks like Hillier is still firing blanks.

CNN discovers Sleepy Joe's a liar

When I saw the headline I had to double-check to make sure I wasn't on Fox.

"Biden makes at least four false statistical claims at town hall."

But that is indeed a CNN story, by no less a fact-checker than little Danny Dale, late of the Toronto Star, and now becoming a veritable institution; Official White House Fib-Tracker. With this story CNN is signalling they're going neutral on Sleepy Joe. 

By my estimation, that's just the first step in the big push for Kamala, the Chosen One. And won't there be universal jubilation when Kamala breaks through the glass ceiling and the women of colour ceiling, and the Asian-American female ceiling and the Black woman ceiling all at the same time!

When you check out this excerpt from the town hall that CNN put on YouTube, you know Joe's tenure in the big house is gonna be measured in weeks, not years. I mean, you gotta feel bad for the guy. He's just not keeping it on the rails anymore.

Miracles of American democracy

As every patriotic American knows with every fibre of their being, this great nation has been extravagantly blessed by God since He guided the Mayflower to these shores all those many years ago. After the revolutionary war, which finally gave God an actual foothold on earth, our profound faith in the Almighty gave us "Manifest Destiny," a God-given mission statement that guides America to this very day.

There are those who claim America lost her way in the post WW2 era. There are those who claim civil rights and gay rights and losing Viet Nam made God turn away from America. There are those who claim that the likes of Mike Pompeo, with his lyin' cheatin' stealin' ways, besmirched God's good name.

Nonsense! The miracles of 2020 put the lie to those who doubt American Exceptionalism.

First miracle; The Democratic Party Primaries.  As you may recall, the candidate they call "Sleepy Joe" stumbled badly out of the blocks. He was handily eclipsed in the first few rounds by Bernie and Mayor Pete. Then, the first 2020 miracle, in North Carolina. Sleepy Joe comes out of nowhere. Only the hand of the divine could engineer such a comeback. The pretenders quickly made way for God's anointed. Sleepy Joe miraculously became the official candidate!

Second miracle; the Trump campaign.  Donald Trump was never expected to win in 2016, and he certainly wasn't supposed to win in 2020. Further, the political establishment that had displeased Our Lord for the last seventy years was determined to see to it that such an eventuality would never come to pass.

To that end, they hammered Trump with the most sustained campaign of negative media coverage in the history of electoral politics. This campaign was utterly relentless for four full years. Each concocted slur upped the ante on the last one. By the time the 2020 race got serious, Trump was the most lyin', most misogynist, most xenophobic, most homophobic, and, last but not least, most RACIST candidate in the history of the nation.

After Nov. 3, we learned that the four year campaign of Trump-bashing resulted in an increase in his voter support from Blacks, Hispanics, and gays. In fact, some twelve million more Americans voted for Trump in 2020 than in 2016. All told, Trump polled four million more presidential votes in 2020 than Obama did in his record-smashing 2008 election. Truly a miracle!

Third miracle; the resurrection of Sleepy Joe. So, Trump got more votes in 2020 than any presidential campaign in over 200 years of American democracy... except for one. Yup, Trump may have smashed Obama's record vote total... but Sleepy Joe trumped that miracle by another SEVEN MILLION!!!

Who could even imagine such a miracle! Our Lord chose to speak through the millions of masked, but not silenced, Dem voters who voted early, or voted by mail, or both. 

The silent majority is silent no more! 

And, far more importantly, the result of the election proves that God still cradles America in His loving embrace. 

Now that God has revealed His will, let us come together to forward the Lord's agenda in China, Iran, Russia, Korea, Venezuela, Nicaragua, and any other nations that have lost the path of true democracy.

Miracles can happen among those hapless peoples too.

Just put your faith in the Lord.

Biden still close to choosing running mate

This headline at the CBC has been up for a week and a half now; Biden close to choosing running mate...

A week and a half?

Is he getting any closer?

Why is it so problematic to find a suitable running mate? After all, the odds are good that this running mate will, sooner or later, become POTUS. Probably  sooner, given what we've seen of Joe recently.

So what's the hold-up?

I guess Joe did winnow the field when he tipped it had to be a person with a cervix, or whatever we call women these days.

And if you're heading up Tokenism Trail anyway, you might as well pull out the stops and go for a Black person with a cervix.

Remember, this Black person with a cervix has to be "presidential" material.

How can that possibly be a problem? Take a look at what passes for "presidential" these days.

It's not like we've set the bar particularly high.

The smart money seems to be tilting towards Susan Rice. Nobody ever mentions the other Black person with a cervix named Rice, Condi. I don't understand how she can be overlooked.

After all, how many Black people with a cervix have ever had an oil tanker named after them?

That's gotta count for something.

You ain't black, but you smarter than we thought

One of the foundational beliefs underpinning anti-black racism in America is the widely held notion that African-Americans aren't up to par, intellectually speaking. That's what came through loud and clear with Biden's claim the other day that those black folks who can't decide between Biden and Trump are not authentic black people.

What the 2020 campaign needs is a choice other than Biden or Trump. Ya, I know there's Dr. Jill Stein, but she's just a little too white and a little too egg-heady to capture the public imagination.

I spent some time this afternoon waxing nostalgic over Jesse Jackson's Rainbow Coalition. Jackson came within a whisker of becoming the Dem candidate in '88. Alas, he was thirty years ahead of his time. As a historical footnote, Joe Biden was one of the candidates that Jackson beat that year.

We've seen twice in a row Mr. Democratic Socialist cave to the anti-socialist anti-democratic DNC. The logical thing for him to do, and what Jackson should have done in '88, is run as a third party candidate.

Alas, Bernie won't, and time has passed Jesse by. America needs the values of Jackson's Rainbow Coalition more than ever.

Biden's comments on The Breakfast Club, delivered with all the self-righteous presumption of a plantation master, gave Len McKelvey, aka "Charlamagne tha God," a national profile in non-black America.

Getting in front of Zelensky

There's a reason Ukrainian voters voted overwhelmingly for political neophyte Volodymyr Zelensky this year; they're sick of the status quo. They saw in Zelensky hope for both a winding down of the conflict in the east, and a long-promised clean-up of Ukraine's famously corrupt political culture.

According to a feature story by Sarah Lawrynuik in the Toronto Sunday Star today, six months in, the natives are once again getting restless. Now they're afraid Zelensky will "capitulate" to Putin.

Lawrynuik's sources include a couple of disgruntled ex-pats who were "forced" out of Crimea, a few "patriots" who volunteered to fight in Donbas, and a couple of people with very close ties to foreign NGOs that have been meddling in Ukraine since well before the US-sponsored "Revolution of Dignity." There's not a whiff of "balance" to be found in the story.

A glance at a map and a passing acquaintance with Russia-Ukraine history would suggest that Russia has far more legitimate interests in Ukraine than does the US. This point of view is of course not shared by Washington, which continues to shower "pro-democracy activists" in Ukraine with lavish funding from the National Endowment for Democracy.

Their motto; "supporting freedom around the world," needs to be a little more specific. What freedoms are they supporting? The freedom of grifters like Biden and Trump to meddle in Ukraine's affairs? Lawrynuik recycles the three-year-old story of the alleged Surkov emails, reassuring us they "were judged to be authentic by the Atlantic Council's Digital Forensic Research Lab."

Well duh! What else would we expect from NATO's propaganda arm?

"Military consultant" Glen Grant gets quoted a lot. He's a former UK army guy who's been making mischief in Eastern Europe on behalf of NATO for years. Last year he published an essay in the Western-sponsored Kyiv Post titled How Ukraine can build an army to beat Putin.

Those are the voices from Ukraine that the Toronto Star editorial board sees fit to represent to us what is happening in Ukraine. They're exclusively voices that want to push Zelensky towards further conflict with Russia.


That's not why 73% of Ukrainian voters made him their president. Western war-mongers need to shut up, butt out, and let him do his job.

From Russiagate to Ukiegate

If you thought Russiagate was thin gruel, brace yourself for the shit-show that's going to hog the headlines for the next two years - Ukiegate.

Ukraine is by any metric a failed state. It was a failed state before the US-sponsored Maidan uprising, and its downward spiral has only accelerated since. Not only is it a failed state, it was deliberately failed by its plutocrats in the interest of lining their own pockets.

It's hard to understand the thought process among the DNC brain trust. The first casualty of Ukrainegate will be the Biden election campaign. It will be impossible to investigate Trump's alleged malfeasance without getting lots of splatter on the top Dem contender, something already reflected in the latest polls.

That will leave Warren as the likely Democratic Party candidate for 2020, an unhappy prospect for big-money Dem donors. At that juncture even billionaire never-Trumpers will be holding their noses and voting for one of their own rather than for somebody whinging about income inequality and a wealth tax.

It's also hard to understand the reckless abandon with which the Democentric media has climbed aboard this issue. If they really hate Trump as much as they profess, why are they working so hard for his re-election?

CNN stumping for Trump

Check this out. The headline is a little misleading as the article isn't so much about Trump voters as it is an itemized list of reasons why most voters might want to consider voting for the Orange Ogre. It's certainly not something you'd expect to find on the CNN home page, since the network works hard to position itself at the "progressive" end of the media spectrum.

What's going on?

My hunch is that the folks who own America's mass media, the super-rich and the corporate class, are beginning to suffer sphincter spasms at the sheer volume of socialist-sounding rhetoric emanating from the Dem side. Wealth tax? Single-payer health care? Free college? 90% marginal tax rate on incomes over a million?!...

Oh my God!!! We'll all be running around dressed in Mao outfits if these loony leftists have their way!

And it gets worse, if such a thing can be imagined... how about that Tulsi Gabbard and her talk about reduced military budgets and shutting down overseas army bases!?

Trump's treasonous flirtation with Bad Vlad is nothing compared to that!

We're a year and a half out from the election, and the engines of democracy are starting to rev. The billionaire class who own the media are desperately looking for a Dem candidate they can get behind, one who doesn't talk all that commie shit. They can't bring back Hillary. Biden is tanking. The only Dems creating any buzz with the under forty crowd are all spouting leftist homilies...


Buckle up for a great show!

How long can Erdogan defy the Empire?

It should be obvious by now that America and the NATO me-too states are spoiling for a regional war in a last desperate attempt to have their way with Assad, and insofar as it is an "independent" proto-state (of which I'm not convinced) Islamic State as well. Unfortunately, the Coalition of the Courageous is determined to have others fight that war on their behalf.

That's proving to be a problem. The Washington warmongers can't at this point be seen to give Assad a reprieve in his fight with Isis. The next most effective anti-ISIS forces are the Shia, who will always have more allegiance to Iran. The Kurds are next up, but they have proven ineffective and are themselves waiting for a NATO intervention to save them from the NATO-created Islamic State.

That leaves Turkey. Having been pressured to take a leading role in the creation of ISIS, Erdogan is in no rush to be pushed into providing the boots for America's ground war in Syria. The utterly pathetic hypocrisy Biden voiced when he accused Turkey of creating ISIS recently didn't go over well. This blog speculated two years ago that Assad could very well outlast Erdogan, a result that seems even likelier today.

The news that Turkey's thirty-year war on its Kurds has become a hot war again can only hasten Erdogan's demise. The propaganda organs of the Empire have lavished a lot of fawning attention on the Kurds for the past couple of years. They're the people in the neighbourhood who Israel can work with, so they're obviously the good guys, although we have by some oversight neglected erasing them from our ever-fickle "terror" lists.

So, Erdogan gets begonced, a more pliable leadership will be installed, and voila, America's regional war will have its boots on the ground!

And NATO will be spared the incongruity of a member state in the crusader alliance governed by the Muslim Brotherhood.
