CBC finally notices scandals swirling around Hunter Biden

Almost three years after Hunter Biden’s ‘laptop from hell’ first made headlines in the New York Post, CBC News is on top of the story. It’s rather a long read by CBC standards, so let me save you some time. Rest assured the scandal is nothing more than unproven allegations that Hunter made some deals with people, some of whom may have been shady characters. Nothing is proven, and besides, most of these alleged deals occurred when “the Big Guy” wasn’t even in politics, so nothing to see here! It was news to me that Sleepy Joe was ever out of politics so I did a little research. Yes, it’s true - for 27 months after he stepped down as Obama’s VP in January 2017 until he started his campaign for the White House in April 2019, Joe was in fact “out of politics.” Citizen Joe was just a regular guy holding down a full professorship at University of Pennsylvania. Unlike most professors I know, Joe’s gig at UPenn required no pesky things like office hours or teaching classes, leaving ample time to fundraise for his 2020 campaign. Oh, and it paid $900k per year! But he was out of politics, so any insinuation that Hunter was running an influence peddling campaign on Joe’s behalf is clearly nonsense fabricated by deranged Trump supporters who hate democracy.

Impeachment in the age of Cognitive Dissonance

Just in the past couple of days, the government of the United States has declared its support for the anti-China protests in China's Hong Kong, upended the global consensus on Israel's illegal settlement of Palestinian lands, and recognized the un-elected Anez as legitimate leader of Bolivia.

Meanwhile, we're treated to this impeachment circus, which is predicated on the fantasy that the US does not interfere in the affairs of other countries.

No country on earth does more behind-the-scenes arm-twisting, brow-beating, bribery, and extortion than does the US of A.

And that's just behind the scenes.

They don't mind destroying entire societies on centre stage, in full view of the entire world, on the flimsiest of fraudulent pretexts.

 See "shock and awe" for example.

The "Deep State" isn't all that deep. It's certainly not hidden from public view. The National Endowment for Democracy has a readily accessible website and issues reasonably transparent annual reports. They're proud to brag about where they're interfering!

But, we're supposed to believe that Trump did something out of the ordinary when he was strong-arming Zelensky?

Get outta here!

The narrative being spun out of the impeachment hearings beggars belief.

Joe Biden was America's point man for cleaning up corruption in Ukraine. That any country on the planet would need Washington's help in fighting corruption is a laughable proposition on the face of it, and of course another coarse example of brazen Yankee Doodle diddling in the affairs of a sovereign state.

While Joe was busy with that file, his boy Hunter coincidentally got a $50,000/month sinecure at one of Ukraine's most illustriously corrupt corporations. Hunter speaks neither Ukrainian nor Russian and has no qualifications to do anything whatsoever in Ukraine, save one.

His dear daddy was VP of the USA at the time.

If that doesn't stink, your sniffer ain't working.

DNC on brink of spectacular own goal

On page A9 of today's Globe and Mail a headline informs me that "Trump allegedly asked Ukraine to investigate Biden's son." That's the Globe's version of this story, found originally in the Wall Street Journal, and now a staple across mainstream media.

Yup, there goes Trump again, abusing his office to stymie a potential rival...

Unfortunately, it's Biden's own words, and not any dirty dealing on the part of Trump, that are going to cause some embarrassing blow-back here. Check out this story from the NYT  back in May. Or, if you think the Times is too Trump friendly, even Michael Bloomberg's personal propaganda platform reports Biden bragging about getting a top Ukrainian judge fired for investigating his son Hunter's adventures in the Ukrainian natural gas business.

Obviously any competent journalist reporting these latest allegations would be aware of both Hunter Biden's involvement in Ukraine and his Daddy's boastful comments about interfering in Ukraine's internal affairs. So why don't they pull the loose threads together and tell the whole story?


Because the Democentric mainstream media have a horse in this race, and it ain't Donny J.
