Yup, more US bombs to liberate the people of Libya!
I have a hunch we're gonna keep liberating those benighted folks as long as they've got a single drop of oil in the ground.
Note that we're specifically liberating Sirte, supposedly an ISIS stronghold. But, check out the last few lines of this story from Al Jazeera from a few days ago. Sirte was already liberated!
I have another hunch that the story behind the story is that things aren't going according to script for America's bumboy du jour, General Haftar. It's now come out that at least four of the Nations of Virtue, US, UK, France, and Italy, all have boots on the ground in support of the good General.
You will recall that General Haftar cut short a cosy twenty-year retirement in Virginia to return to his homeland and fight for... the people? ...the oil? ...the USA?
Nobody knows... but it's clear that when General Haftar calls in missile strikes, the USAF answers the call.

Just because you lived in Virginia for 20 years doesn't automatically make you a CIA stooge
Then again, maybe it does!
You gotta love the way our mainstream media tippy-toes around this guy as a "retired general."
Yup, 20 years in Virginia, a short drive from Langley, like about a three iron drive, but he's just a regular Libyan dude who happened to settle in the neighbourhood
Because Khalifa Haftar was just one of hundreds of regular Libyan dudes who coincidentally chose to settle down right nearby CIA headquarters.
And why not? The shopping is good, the climate is accommodating, and the rent is reasonable, all the more so when it's being paid by some anonymous American entity related to the security apparatus.
Yes, it was a sweet deal these Libyan ex-pats scored for themselves.
You don't think the CIA Welcome Wagon might have come with strings attached, do you?

Al Jazeera, Fox News, Reuters all mum on "renegade" General's CIA links
Oh, but this story is stinkier than a lorry-load of Danish cheese...
Here's the Reuters version.
And the Al Jazeera version.
Fox News attributes the troubles to a "General Hifter" and neglects to mention that he is retired.
All of them and virtually every other mainstream story forget to mention General Khalifa Haftar's illustrious and well-documented history of collaboration with the CIA.
Coincidence?
