Fifty years ago, no self-respecting person on the left would have dreamed of aligning themselves with the FBI or CIA

Things have changed in fifty years.

The FBI and the CIA have been rehabilitated. Comey and Brennan are heroes of the resistance. And, unlike fifty years ago, anything you read in the New York Times is Guaranteed Gospel Truth! Back in the day, your first reaction to mainstream media claims was always skepticism.

Now, NYT/WaPo/CNN/PBS are the go-to platforms for truth-seeking lefties.

That's not all that's changed. Fifty years ago, the Black Resistance to 350 years of oppression gave rise to inspirational leaders like Malcolm X, Stokely Carmichael, and MLK. Today, Black Resistance to 400 years of oppression is centralized in the corporate-sponsored BLM astro-turf movement.

Fifty years ago, most people still viewed the Democrats as the party of unionized labour. Now it's the party of union-busting hedge-fund billionaires.

Fifty years ago, Republicans were the war party and Democrats were at least more likely to talk peace, if not actually cease and desist from dropping our Paveway instruments of democracy on recalcitrant third world peasants. Today the Democrats are as keen on perpetual war as the old war party ever was.

Sadly, what we have witnessed over the last fifty years, is the wholesale betrayal of the interests of everyday working people, of all ethnicities and creeds, by both parties.

Sooner or later, blowback is coming...

Trump drunk on Deep-State Kool-aid

I was just putting my lap-top to bed for the night when the Farm Manager announces that Trump has hit the GO button for Paveways and Tomahawks to Damascus.

Apparently Macron the imbecile and the hapless May are fully on board with this most recent Trumpian misadventure.

Which should not surprise.

Macron has his trousers more than full with the uprising against his "labour reforms."

May is still in denial about that whole Brexit thing.

Both of them desperately want a distraction.

As does Donny J.

Between the Comey book and the Cohen raid, Mafia Don needs a distraction more than anybody...

Bombs away!!!

Putin's aggression claims another sovereign state

Yes, this time he has attacked Syria.

You remember Syria, don't you? Three years ago the US, along with Britain and France and all those little thriving democracies in the Gulf, had declared that they recognize the Syrian National Coalition as the only legitimate representatives of the Syrian people.

The SNC was a great Hillary Clinton success story, comprised of Syrians who had spent the last 25 years in London or Paris or Washington.

Where are they now?

Still in London or Paris or Washington, I suppose. Hillary's Syrian revolution was stillborn.

In the interim, the evil Assad has invented barrel bombs, which, believe it or not, are exponentially more deadly than American Hellfire missiles or Paveway smart bombs. He has been dropping those barrel bombs on his own people, and all the Hellfire missiles and Paveway smart bombs at America's disposal have been unsuccessful in dissuading him from dropping more barrel bombs on his own people.

Installing democracy in Damascus has proven a much tougher assignment than anyone could have imagined.

Enter Bad Vlad.

The mainstream media in the Nations of Virtue are agog this evening at the cynical disregard for international law and human rights exhibited by Putin, as he joins the fight against the very terrorists that America and her allies have supposedly been raining Paveways and Hellfires upon for the past year.

WHAT DOES HE THINK HE'S DOING???

The Nations of Virtue were so close to defeating Islamic State/ISIS/ISIL/Daesh, and then Putin comes along and bombs the wretched fuckers?

What is that man thinking?

"Please Massah, send in some Paveways!..."

Apparently things aren't going that well for our Peshmerga allies attempting to secure their imaginary realm from the Towel-Heads of Terror.

That's why both the Kurds and the nominal joke government in Baghdad are pleading with the Nations of Virtue to send in some death and destruction to help tip the balance in Kirkuk.

While that may be a laudable short-term strategy, it has some ultimately fatal flaws in the long term.

Memo to Kurdistan; the USAF cannot pretend to be the Kurdish Air Force indefinitely! Sooner or later you're going to have to make it on your own... or not.

There's a great deal of confusion among the American populace about just who is who and what is what in this latest round of Middle East adventurism. Our Peshmerga pals are, as of this writing, still on the official "Terror List." The IS underwriters in Qatar and Saudi are officially our best buddies in the ME right after the Chosen People, who for their part, variously support either the Kurds or the IS, depending on vagaries of weather, geography, expediency, time of day, etc...

Long story short, I think it's safe to say that there's a whole lot of Big Dogs here in the Nations of Virtue who are beyond thrilled to see our various "enemies" killing one another off, and the fact that they're doing it with weaponry that keeps our armament manufacturers humming, well, bonus!

So rest assured the Paveways are on their way... and, depending on how things fare out this week, perhaps next week we'll have our Saudi pals send a few transports of Paveways to the IS, just to keep things fair and square!

NATO oopsie vaporizes Afghan Army platoon

Now that "complete withdrawal" of occupation forces that have been in Afghanistan since 2001 is looking like it might actually mean complete withdrawal, the forces of righteousness are faced with a bit of a quandry.

It's frightfully expensive to haul all their kit out of there.

It's way cheaper to just drop a half-ton Paveway somewhere in-country than ship it to Turkey or Syria or Ukraine, or God forbid, back to the US.

That may have contributed to the decision to drop one on an Afghan army unit the other day. Nobody's gonna have to pay to ship that sucker anywhere.

Besides, it's a bit of payback for all that blue on blue action the towellers have bestowed upon us these past few years.

At least it wasn't a wedding party!

And we wonder why they hate us?
