It became glaringly obvious during the Trump regime that the office of the POTUS wasn't in charge of actual execution of US foreign policy.
Biden is pushing the draw-down in Afghanistan against the very same cabal of war profiteers and lobbyists who ensured that Trump was stymied on everything they didn't approve.
They were delighted when he gifted the Golan to Israel.
They applauded the assassination of Soliemani.
But God forbid the USA ever turn her back on Afghanistan!
Maybe Joe will prove that it's still the office of the POTUS that calls the shots.
Maybe not.
