Taliban drones over America

It's just a matter of time.

Former Obama adviser Michael Boyle went on the record today claiming that the drone war is counter-productive. A technology advantage in wartime is and always has been an advantage with a limited shelf life. Already Hezbollah have demonstrated that they can fly drones undetected into Israeli airspace.

Karzai is in Washington today begging for a stay of execution, because that's what an American withdrawal would mean for him. While he has the savvy and the billions to withdraw to Dubai before that happens, it is inevitable that within months, weeks, or days of the US withdrawal there will be a virulently anti-American government in Kabul.

That government will have plenty of technical support from Hezbollah and elements in the Pakistani security services to develop drones of their own. America's technical advantage won't last forever.

And what do you think will happen then?
