We are running short of essentials. Desperately need a couple cases of Keystone Light (tallboys, if you don't mind).
Wouldn't you know that the year I didn't hook up the big snow-blower to the tractor would be the year of a monster blizzard in March!?
There's the little snow-blower of course, the thirty year old walk-behind. It shredded a drive belt when I last used it. Never got around to replacing it. I thought winter was over.
If this keeps up I'll have to fire up the Allis-Chalmers and clear the drive with the loader.
Meanwhile, I had to venture out on the roof to clear the snow off the satellite dish. That's a nasty business.
I have to climb out the bathroom window and on to the woodshed roof. Got a metal roof on the woodshed, so it's slippery as can be in these kind of weather conditions.
The risks are falling to your death (or at least a few bruises) or falling onto the peak of the roof, and you know what part of you is going to hit the peak of the roof when one leg goes east and the other goes west.
Thanks to the great work of the guys at ACN Electric from Lions Head who installed our new electrical service, we've got power while thousands of folks in the neighborhood don't.
So we're warm and cozy, but we're out of beer.
