Netanyahu: Churchill of the Middle East

It's no secret that Yuval Diskin has long held Prime Minister Netanyahu in contempt, but his recent remarks underline the personal nature of that animosity.

There is plenty to dislike about the PM, and it would be hard to find much positive in his tenure. Is the country safer? More prosperous? More respected among the family of nations?

No, no, and no again, but that hardly seems to disturb Diskin. What really gets Diskin is that Netanyahu smokes cigars and drinks alcohol during cabinet meetings!

In the middle of such a sensitive meeting he is standing with a drink in one hand and a cigar in the other.

Oh for God's sake, lighten up! Surely Diskin is acquainted with one Winston Churchill, who led the British Empire through her darkest hours, all with a drink in one hand and a cigar in the other.
