Well this should be good!
Ever since Hagel's name came up as a possibility for the next Secretary of Defense, the blogosphere has been aflame with all the reasons why that can never happen.
In a nutshell, the man is a raving anti-Semite.
In fact, on more than one occasion in his political career he has claimed to be a US Senator, not an Israeli Senator.
If that's not antisemitism, what is?
If Obama actually goes through with this nomination he is obviously trying to make a point; he won't be cowed by the Israel lobby.
Which will be seen as a good thing by anyone who remembers a pre-Likud Israel.
