Interesting to see how the no-spinners are trying to spin this "God and Jerusalem" fiasco the Democrats have brought on themselves.
Hannity is doing all he can to fan a few embers of sour feelings into a profound storm of outrage over the Dem establishment ramming through a reference to Jerusalem as the "capital" of Israel over the protestations of many of the delegates on the floor.
The attendant invocation of "God" is even more loosely tethered to any relevant discussion of facts.
The list of nations recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel is non-existent, so to excoriate the Democrats for not doing so seems a bit of a high hook on which to hang one's no-spin credentials.
For the Democratic Party to capitulate in such short order underscores that they are far more motivated by TV ratings than moral principles.
The entire charade is of course just that; a charade. I'm reminded of the various phony feuds between big stars on the Word Wrestling Federation. Or the never-ending battle between the Newmans and the Abotts on The Y & R.
It's riveting viewing, isn't it?
And that's all this election of 2012 is. Entertaining TV content.
Sure, the billionaires might pay a few more dollars in taxes under Obama and a few less under Romney, but the system will continue to be stacked for them and against the middle class.
But it's a helluva show.
