We're gonna push that pipeline through no matter how many protesters die

How retarded would you have to be to believe that the Trudeau government's pipeline agenda makes any sense whatsoever?

The latest clanger is the news that the estimated cost of construction has been bumped from seven billions to twelve plus. If I'm not mistaken, the original Trans Mountain pipeline twinning (and capacity trebling) project was premised on an average price of $100/bbl crude over the life of the pipeline. Crude is half that and the price of the pipeline just went up 70%.

The Trans Mountain pipeline just lost all credibility as a viable business proposition.

Only a government could make it happen now.

But how could it possibly be a government that came to power on the twin promises of meeting our climate change obligations and working towards reconciliation with First Nations?

  1. From the Kommissars at CBC: "Police action on "Wet'suwet'en territory" (WTF?!?) in northern B.C. has triggered solidarity actions across the country with railway blockades as well as occupations of government offices." But, curiously, not BC welfare offices... Where, exactly is Wet'suwet'en "territory" ? Never heard of it until today. Nevertheless, hundreds of longshoremen in Vancouver lost their wages this weekend because of about a dozen "actorvists" picketed access to the docks. Why? Because a natural gas pipeline project that had received approval from the province, and 20 First Nations band councils had signed agreements in support of the project, including five of the six band councils in the Wet'suwet'en nation-but, but, but because an unelected, unrepresentative cabal of "elders" chose to oppose. And we have a bunch of Commercial Drive hipsters and assorted losers supporting this nonsense. Longshoremen Solidarity with the welfare, neck-bearded, craft beer drinking, pseudo-intellectual poseurs? Only in the minds of the clowns at CBC...

Essentially, BC taxpayers, people who work and indeed, worked for a living, are sick of this rubbish.
