The Toronto Star has quite the terror scoop today.
Seems al Qaeda has been planning a massive operation in London. On the hit list? A couple of five star hotels, a couple of Jewish neighborhoods, and Eton College.
Think Mumbia on the Thames.
These plans were conveniently found neatly folded into the pockets of Fazul Abdullah Mohammed, who was shot to death at a checkpoint in Mogadishu over a year ago.
The documents were authenticated by a host of senior security operatives who naturally enough cannot be named.
Fazul was one of those back-ground boys in al Qaeda who instantly get a promotion to "senior leader" the moment they die. Speaking of which, he was reported killed several times before his death last year.
And how is it that this treasure trove of intelligence documents, allegedly discovered more than a year ago, becomes headline news just before the London Olympics?
Why, the better to make scary headlines!
