Chick-fil-A and the culture wars

Frankly, I don't have a problem with the owners of Chick-fil-A telling a Baptist newspaper that they believe in "traditional" marriage.

If I'm going to dine at Chick-fil-A it's probably going to be because I'm hungry.

But how convenient that an awful lot of decent well-meaning folks on both sides of this issue are now down this side-street of boycott/counter-boycott when there are so many other far more important issues they should be getting in a flap about.

While you're worried about Dan Cathy's homophobia, Mr. Obama is inching closer and closer to war with Iran.

While you're demonstrating for Mr. Cathy's First amendment rights by eating more fried chicken, Hillary is on a tour of Africa making ludicrous promises to all sorts of sketchy regimes that are going to keep America in war after war just to keep a small clique of contractors and weapon manufacturers and their political allies in the money in perpetuity.

Wake up America!
