Al Jazeera has a feel-good piece about Libya today.
It's worth a read. Najla apparently spends a lot of time in Libya so she should know. According to her, life in Libya is pretty much back to normal. Regular folks including entire families sit at outdoor cafes through the night celebrating democracy. Peace has fallen upon the land!
All that negative stuff you read right across the political spectrum about armed gangs occupying government offices, car bombs going off for the first time in Libya's history, frequent shoot-outs between rival militias, apparently none of that is true.
It's all propaganda floated by anti-interventionist liberals with an axe to grind.
She does concede there are still a few issues, but those continue to be Gaddafi's fault.
While you're reading her good-news story, keep in mind that the writer was an early cheerleader for NATO intervention and that she is a darling of a host of Washington funded "democracy promotion" organizations.
Further keep in mind that the folks who fund al Jazeera are also funding the Syrian intervention, and that the main obstacle to drawing major Western powers deeper into the sham "uprising" is the bad odor that lingers over Libya.
Seems Najla found them a happy Libya story in the nick of time!
