Here at Falling Downs we're pulling out all the stops to celebrate the anniversary of bin Laden's demise.
Yup, been a year since those bold Navy Seals stormed the secret bin Laden compound over there in Towellistan and put paid to the evil mastermind of 9/11.
Just in case you missed it, there's a certain amount of disagreement about what actually happened.
Firstly, there's a pretty reasonable school of thought that claims bin Laden could in no way shape or form have survived the saturation bombing of Tora Bora way back when the US Air Force knew they had him trapped there.
Then there's your historical revisionist school of thought who believe he got out of there but the Pak security forces actually did him in. That school has a certain amount of cred in my book. Pakistan is a police state through and through. You don't just happen to live in a compound in a military garrison town without the state security services knowing exactly who you are, why you're there, and what you had for breakfast.
That school claims the Paki's snuffed him and then, for reasons of political ass-kissing, called in the US to take the credit.
In the world of international realpolitik that actually makes some sense.
There are innumerable mutations of these theories all over the internet.
Here's the one thing we know for sure; going into the home stretch for the November election, Obama is going to be playing the Osama card for all it's worth.
