It's early days yet, mind you, and he has a ways to go before we can safely deem him a match for Clinton.
But we have reason to be optimistic.
Case in point; Kerry has claimed today that the US is "more confident" that the weapons it has been supplying to the Syrian "opposition" via proxies Qatar and Saudi Arabia are going to "moderates."
Anybody following this Syria debacle knows full well that the "moderates" among the "opposition" don't get any closer to the action than Turkey. Those would be the front line moderates. Most of the moderates are chilling in London and Paris.
It's common knowledge that the heavy lifting in-theater is being done by al-Qaeda types. The concern among policy folks has all along been that if we gift the al-Qaeda types with too much serious weaponry it'll soon show up in Gaza and Heathrow.
Not to worry. Those al-Nusra folks hate the Shia infidels in Iran way more than they hate Brits or Israelis or Americans. Especially if we keep giving them guns and bullets. And Stinger missiles.
We'll be safe.
For now.
