Newt Gingrich let it be known today that he thinks all American Jews are, at the very least, Likud supporters.
Doing the full court press to suck up to the Jewish vote, Newt told the Jewish Channel cable network that Palestinians are just Arabs and they've got lots of homelands already, so what's the big deal? Build more settlements already!
Apparently Newt doesn't realize that the American Jewish community is deeply divided on questions of Palestinian statehood, settlements, the two-state solution, unconditional aid to Israel, and the list can go on and on. The old carpet-bagger doesn't have a clue.
He's offering up 1972 answers to 2012 questions. This is the best the Republicans can put forward?
