Mystery computer viruses circulating through the Iranian scientific community.

The think tank here at Falling Downs has a start date for the war on Iran; 1979. The war started when the Ayatollah landed, and it's been going on ever since.
Mostly it's been a cold war. For a few years in the eighties it was a proxy war. Our man in Baghdad thought he could do the job for us. Unfortunately for Sadam, the Iranians were a more committed adversary than we were an ally.
We've been funding MEK mischief in Iran forever. Officially, they're on our terror watch list. Unofficially, they're doing God's work and we not only turn a blind eye, we give them plenty of behind the scenes support that God can't provide.
Syrian spring is just another front in the Iran war. If we can affect regime change there, so much the better. And it's not so much regime change as regime collapse we're looking for.
We don't mind a country in anarchic disarray, as long as the banks and the oil infrastructure are functioning.
